In February 2011, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Research Integrity (ORI) and Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP), released an interactive video; “The Lab: Avoiding Research Misconduct.” The simulation focuses on Responsible Conduct of Research topics, for example, avoiding research misconduct, mentoring responsibilities, and handling of data, responsible authorship, and questionable research practices (ORI). We are using this video for training purposes. When the video is watched as a class project it will be accepted as a fulfillment of the RCR training requirement.
